Bonding is a popular method to enhance the aesthetics of your smile. It can be used to correct cracks, gaps, filling after a cavity has been removed or to cover up stains on your teeth. Bonding can be a cosmetic improvement over unsightly silver amalgam fillings. With the advancements in dental technology, bonding usually lasts for over 10 years. It is safe, affordable and an attractive solution for many dental problems.
Bridges are a great way to replace missing teeth. Your existing teeth are used to literally create a bridge to cross the area where your tooth is missing. Bridges are made from gold, metal, alloys or porcelain to ensure that they are strong & durable. The bridge may take a little while to get used to but after a few days, it should feel like you have your own teeth back again.
If you feel that your smile isn't what it once was, crowns can help you to recover that smile. Crowns can be made from porcelain, porcelain fused to metal or a full gold crown. To maintain a natural look & feel, a porcelain finished crown is best as it can be matched to the shade of your teeth. This will allow it to blend in & appear just like one of your natural teeth.
Dentures are a replacement for missing teeth that can be removed and put back into your mouth. Depending on the individualized patient, they may receive a full or partial set of dentures. Dentures may never feel perfectly comfortable, but it is much better than the alternative of not having any teeth. Your dentures should also be cared for as if they were real teeth.
Dental implants have a wide array of uses in dentistry. An implant is a titanium post that is placed into the jaw and the restoring dentist can then use it to attach crown, bridges, and dentures. This allows implants to serve to replace individual teeth and also to help patients stabilize and support their dentures and partial dentures.
Many people are affected with bruxism or teeth grinding. Some people may even do this consciously during the day but it is usually a larger problem at night while you are sleeping. A night guard provides a barrier between your top & bottom teeth while you sleep. Our night guards are custom fitted for comfort and to allow for proper breathing. Night guards are very durable and can be used for up to 10 years.
Root canals are a necessary part of dental treatment in many cases. A root canal may be indicated in the case of a tooth that is painful to hot and cold stimulus and it also may be needed in the case of an abscessed tooth. Many times, the only other alternative is to extract the tooth. During the root canal procedure the inside of the tooth is cleaned and sterilized and then a root canal filling is placed to seal the tooth. A crown over the tooth is often indicated to provide adequate strength for the tooth.

Veneers are a thin porcelain facing that is bonded to the front surface of a tooth in order to change the color or the shape of the tooth. These are very conservative restorations that can have a large impact on the appearance of someone's smile.
There are times when a tooth cannot be saved. Wisdom teeth extractions are a fairly common procedure. Based on the preference of the doctor &/or the patient, a local anesthetic can be used to numb the area where the tooth will be extracted. Other patients might prefer to be sedated. If a tooth is significantly impacted, we will refer the patient to an oral surgeon.
